Controller Architecture

Currently, BigSwitch is the deployed controller, with two setup and running.

1) cis-controller.stanford.edu runs on ee-esx (vmware 4i) - Located in CISX 1.1 IDF

2) ee-controller.stanford.edu runs on ee-kvm (ubuntu 11.10 server) - Located in Packard MDF/IDF 0.1

Packard OpenFlow clients will point to ee-controller first and cis-controller as secondary. CIS does the reverse.

Future: Gates will likely have its MDF-2 HP switch upgraded to support OpenFlow actively, pointing to one of the two controllers. At that time, all switches should have a common primary controller.
